Ganesh is a wildlife ecologist and conservationist, passionate about science, photography, and exploration. He is a Ph.D. student at the University of Arizona in Tucson with a project focused on the biodiversity, connectivity, and management of borderlands wildlife and the effect of anthropogenic activity and infrastructures, for which he received support from National Geographic. His main interests are ecology, mountains, wildlife-human interactions, and the conservation of mammals in the Americas, always into the framework of socio-ecological systems and political ecology. In past projects, he has collaborated with multinational and transdisciplinary teams studying prairie dogs, rodent communities, hibernating bats in Mexico, management plans for protected areas and carnivores across Mexico.
